Several months ago, there was a wonderful article in the New Yorker about Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz. He is hands down an all-time favorite of mine ever since his days at Yves Saint Laurent. His technical designs are what fashion dreams are made of. I am still playing catch up with the S/S 2010 collections but the Lanvin offering was the first to leave me speechless and my mouth agape when looking at the runway photos. The neutrals were beautifully complemented by bright bursts of color. Anything beaded, shiny and encrusted with sequins always gets my attention so it is no surprise I fell head-over-heels for the following number. Viva Alber!
