Publisher Condé Nast recently announced a new e-commerce venture resulting from Lucky magazine merging with online retailer BeachMint named The Lucky Group. Superstylin* featured "The magazine about shopping" and social commerce company in our Eye on E-Commerce column last fall. Lucky is getting a long overdue rehaul. Heading up the project is the digital hostess-with-the-mostest Eva Chen. Superstylin* had the pleasure of working with Eva during the Spring/Summer 2013 collections in New York prior to her appointment as the editor-in-chief at the Conde Nast shopping title. A consummate professional she is indeed.
Fun fact: Eva was the answer to a midterm question in my class. When brought on by Anna Wintour to help save the publication, I took the opportunity to school my students about not only watching her career and digital prowess, but also to read and know magazine mastheads.
