Five Years Strong and Fashion Week Fun

Superstylin*™ began as a side project in September 2009 and is still going five years strong. All I knew in the beginning was that my blog was part of something bigger, something greater which had yet to come to fruition. Never could I have imagined the opportunities I would be afforded because of my love of fashion and the joy of writing.

Recently Superstylin*™ attended Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2015 in New York. Technically my first New York Fashion Week shows were fifteen years ago and over the years I have attended under many guises including student, volunteer and employee of a brand showing but this time it was different. This time I was there because of something I solely created and it was the best feeling in the world.

Founders Tell All with Third Wave Fashion

I recently attended an event hosted by New York's Third Wave Fashion entitled the Founders Tell All. Speakers for the evening were: Brian Sugar, CEO at PopSugar, Lindsey Guest, CEO and Founder at Beauty Army, Aubrie Pagano, CEO at Bow & Drape, Colin Stuart, Co-Founder and CTO at Betabrand, and Stephanie Palmeri, Principal at SoftTechVC. The audience was treated to personal stories from the founders about their rise to the top and gained insight about content and commerce, customer acquisition, public relations, social media and funding.
