Recently over dinner I told gal pals of mine how I'd love to be a season ticket holder of seats behind home plate, on the 50 yard line and courtside. So as a sports fan with a love for all things music, film and fashion-related, I really enjoyed researching this piece. I look forward to seeing another perspective about a time and place I was fascinated with as a child. My impression of South Central LA in the 80s and early 90s was formed by movies such asColors and Boyz N The Hood. Thanks to bootleg tapes from the local flea market, I was listening to the likes of Eazy-E at a young age much to the dismay of my mother. Now I feel like watching Friday...
