The first week of 2011 is off to a promising start. The main focus was setting the tone for the year. My favorite quote of the week: I'll give you all the rope you need. Just don't hang yourself.

Over the holiday break, I watched scores of movies. Family time was spent on theater outings and I was quite the couch potato surfing my parents cable. We saw The Fighter (I smell an Oscar nod for Christian Bale and look forward to seeing what he'll wear...) and Black Swan. My 73 year old father enjoyed the movie, said Natalie Portman was *off her rocker* and it should have been rated X. I covered his eyes during the *racier* scenes of the film;)

Thanks to the beauty of streaming movies, I have recently caught up on many films on my must-see list. Superstylin* highly recommends an artist trifecta: The Radiant Child, The Universe of Keith Haring and Exit Through the Gift Shop.
